PIMA is a not for profit organisation set up to represent all convertors of plastic within Australia. PIMA's principal charter is the development of training resources for those employed in the industry and to enhance their skill levels. We seek to influence training bodies such as the NSW Industry Training Advisory Board (ITAB), Department of Education & Training (DET), TAFE and universities in the development of nationally accredited training materials. PIMA was founded on a sense of camaraderie and cooperation between members. It has evolved into a strong and effective organisation which is making a difference in government policies that affect its members. Despite its significant growth in activities, PIMA is still essentially a voluntary association.
All current members of PIMA have access to additional elements of the website including the Trade Directory and full Members' listings.
PIMA welcomes anyone associated in the plastics industry in Australia. If you are involved in the industry come and share your experiences and hear from others. Provide back to an industry that is supporting you.
